The three properties of water.

So, here are the three properties of water you need to know about :

1) It's a solvent - substances can dissolve in water easily. Meaning substances such as glucose and oxygen can be transported throughout plants and animals easily.

2) It's cohesive - this is the attraction between molecules of the same type (i.e. water with other water molecules). These molecules stick together, making them flow and great at transporting substances.

3) It's dipolar - because of the way oxygen and hydrogen molecules bond in water, water has a partial negative charge on one side and a partial positive charge on the other side.
